Early Will I Seek You
“O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is.” — Psalm 63:1 (KJV)
One of the greatest habits a believer can develop is seeking God early. David declared, “Early will I seek You,” revealing his deep hunger and dependence on God. Before seeking answers, opportunities, or the approval of men, he sought the presence of God.
Seeking God early is not only about waking up in the morning to pray; it is about making God your first priority in every area of life. When God is first, everything else finds its proper place. The challenges of the day become easier to face because you have already received strength, wisdom, and direction from His presence.
Many people seek God only when problems arise, but those who seek Him consistently enjoy a closer relationship with Him and are better prepared for life’s battles. Time spent with God is never wasted. The more you seek Him, the more you know Him, trust Him, and experience His power.
Today, make a fresh commitment to put God first. Let your day begin with prayer, worship, and meditation on His Word. As you seek Him early, He will guide your steps, renew your strength, and fill your heart with His peace.
Reflection:
- Is God truly the first priority in my daily life?
- Do I intentionally create time to seek Him each day?
- What distractions do I need to remove to spend more time in His presence?
Confession:
