FAITH OVER FEAR – PART 2
Isaiah 41:10 —“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”
One of the most repeated commands in Scripture is “Do not fear.” In fact, the Bible tells us “Fear not” more than 365 times: one for every single day of the year. Why? Because God knows that fear is one of the most powerful weapons the enemy uses against His people.
Continuation of some Realities:
3: Faith Is Rooted in God’s Presence, Not in Your Circumstances. Isaiah 41:10 doesn’t say, “Fear not, because the situation will improve.”
It says, “Fear not, for I am with you.” That’s the key. Faith is not built on what you see; it’s built on who walks beside you. Think about Daniel in the lions’ den.
He wasn’t fearless because there were no lions — he was fearless because he knew the Lion of Judah was with him.
Think about Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the fiery furnace. They didn’t know if they’d come out alive, but they said, “Even if He does not deliver us, we will not bow.” And what happened? The fire couldn’t burn them because the Son of God walked among them.
When you know God is with you, fear loses its grip.
4: Faith Produces Peace, Fear Breeds Panic. Fear makes you anxious and restless. It magnifies “what ifs.” Faith brings peace that passes understanding.
Philippians 4:6–7 says: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
When fear comes knocking, let prayer answer the door.
You can’t stop fear from coming, but you can refuse to let it stay.
Faith doesn’t mean the storm is gone — it means you have peace in the storm.
5: Faith Looks Forward, Fear Looks Back. Fear will keep reminding you of your past failures.
Faith looks ahead to your future victories.
When Israel left Egypt, they were free, but their minds were still enslaved. Every time trouble came, they said, “Let’s go back to Egypt.” Fear will always try to drag you back to what God already delivered you from.
But faith says, “There’s no going back — the Red Sea has closed behind me!” Faith presses forward because it believes God’s best is still ahead.
Every day, you choose what you feed — your faith or your fear. Feed your fear, and you’ll shrink. Feed your faith, and you’ll soar.
Romans 10:17- says “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.” So, if you want your faith to grow, fill your heart with the Word, not the worries of the world.
