Forgive And Let God Do The Rest
Ephesians 4:32: And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.
People like to say, βI can forgive, but I cannot forget.β Have you heard that before? Now, in the first place, nowhere in the Bible does God tell you to forgive and then to forget. It is not in the Bible! The devil is adding something here to make the whole thing burdensome.
God only tells us to forgive because God in Christ has forgiven us a debt we cannot pay. When we do this, we do ourselves a favor because harboring bitterness and unforgiveness can sometimes destroy our health!
So just forgive and let God take care of the rest. When you really forgive, sometimes, He makes you forget. But sometimes, you still remember the incident because it was a major thing in your life. Yet, when you look back at it, the pain is no more there. The sting is gone and you are not bitter.
Joseph had forgiven his brothers before they came and bowed before him. He remembered what they did to him, but he did not remember it with bitterness. (Genesis 50:15β21) So you may remember the incident, but the bitterness is gone because you have put the cross in the picture β βGod in Christ forgave me. Daddy, I forgive you. Mama, I forgive you. My cousin, I forgive you.β
When you forgive, forgive by faith, not by your feelings. We walk by faith, not feelings. (2 Corinthians 5:7) Some people are waiting for feelings β βI am waiting, Father, for the right emotion to come on me to forgive that person.β That βright emotionβ may never come!
No, forgive by faith, and do it once and for all. Spend time in prayer. Take out your diary and write it down: βFather, I bring this person before you. You know what he did to me. Father, as You forgave me through Jesusβ cross, even though I did not deserve it, by faith, I now forgive this person and I let my anger against him go in Jesusβ name. Amen!β
Once you forgive by faith, you will see the sting of bitterness removed from your heart. You will experience the peace and joy of God filling your mind, and see a greater measure of wholeness in your body!

It is good to forgive , you doing it for yourself , to maintain your own wellbeing avoid disease’s like hbp , stress , etc . Yes the other person might have hurt us but like Christ said FORGIVE .. he knew its for my own good.

It is important to forgive others because
1. God forgave me through Christ
2. It is a commandment
3. Brittleness and unforgiveness causes more harm to me
Finally, even when you donβt feel like forgiving because of how you are feeling, forgive by faith asking God to help you and you will feel the sting no more.

Ephesians 4:32: And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.
WOOOOOW, THE FORGIVENESS TOPIC IS ONE OF MY MOST TREASURED TOPICS.
WHY?
BECAUSE IT IS WHAT HAS GOT ME TO BE AN OVERCOMER OVER MY ENEMIES.
HOW?
BY FORGIVING MY WORST OFFENDER, AND HE GIVING HIS LIFE TO JESUS, AFTER REPENTANCE, IS ONE OF MY GREATES JOY IN MY CHRISTIAN LIFE, AND GREAT HEALING TOOK PLACE IN MY LIFE, AND THE LIFE OF MY EX- OFFENDER.
YES I USE THE WORD EX- BECAUSE I CANNOT CALL HIM THE NAMES I USE TO CALL HIM ANYMORE. HE IS BORN AGAIN.
JUST LIKE US BEING SINNERS SAVED BY GRACE. WE ARE NO LONGER SINNERS, BY EX- SINNERS, LIKE THE WORLD SAYS EX-HUSBAND/WIFE. WELL, YOU KNOW HOW IT GOES.π
BECAUSE I WAS ABLE TO FORGIVE THE VILEST OFFENDER IN MY LIFE, BY THE GRACE OF GOD, ONLY, IT WAS NOT AN EASY WALK TO BE ABLE TO FORGIVE.
I PRAYED FOR HIS DEATH FIRST, I REFUSED TO SAY THE LORD’S PRAYER.π€π«’
ALL I WANTED GOD TO DO FOR ME WAS TO JUST TAKE HIM OUT, SO I NEVER HAVE TO SEE HIM AGAIN IN MY LIFE, AS FAR AS I WAS CONCERNED, HE DID NOT, AND WAS NOT WORTHY OF FORGIVENESS.π€π
GOD SHOWED ME JUST A LITTLE BIT OF MY PAST LIFE, BEFORE BECOMING A CHRISTIAN. GOD SAID, AND YOU HAVE ALREADY BEEN FORGIVEN, WILL YOU NOT ALSO FORGIVE?
GOD CANNOT USE AN UNFORGIVING HEART. IT’S POISIONOUS TO THE SOULS THAT GOD HIMSELF DON’T WANT TO PERISH.
IN THE BOOK OF 2 Peter 3 v 9 KJV
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
GOD IS NOT WILLING THAT ANY SHOULD PERISH.
THEN WHO AM I NOT TO FORGIVE?
SEEING THIS SCRIPTURE IN THE BIBLE, I THOUGHT TO MYSELF. FATHER, IF IT IS NOT YOUR WILL THAT ANY SHOULD PERISH, PLEASE HELP ME TO FORGIVE.
IF I AM ABLE TO DO SO, THEN I CAN FORGIVE ANYONE AND EVERYONE.
YES, IT IS TRUE PASTOR, IT IS NOT BIBLICAL THAT WE CAN FORGIVE AND NEVER FORGET. I HAVE NOT SEEN IT, IT IS NOT THERE, JUST THAT WE SHOULD FORGIVE AS THE FATHER, THROUGH JESUS CHRIST HAVE FORGIVEN US.
TENDER HEART AND FORGIVENESS WALKS HAND IN HAND.
WOOOW, THANK YOU SO MUCH PASTOR, FOR THIS VERY CLOSE TO MY HEART DEVOTIONAL. β€οΈ π π π π π§‘πππβ€οΈ I TRULY ENJOYED THIS SIR.
AS YOU CAN SEE.π€£π€£
INCREASED GRACE AND STRENGTH SIR. MUCH APPRECIATED. SHALOM ππΏ
Confession:
When I forgive others, I free myself from bitterness, Sickness and unforgiveness. I receive Grace to Let Go. And let God.
Early in my faith journey, i understood that forgiveness is principally for my own good and spiritual health. The sad part is that often, the object of your anger is actually walking in freedom, while you remain in bondagw!
When I forgive others, I free myself from bitterness, sickness, and unforgiveness.
I receive Grace to Let GO.
Alleluia! AMEN
Thank you, Pastor, for this revelation. Greater grace, Sir
Ephesians 4:32
“And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.”
Been kind produces a tender heartedness towards someone or something and then the tender heartedness helps to easily forgive. A hardened heart will not be able to easily forgive.
No matter what might be happening the template for forgiveness is *…EVEN AS GOD IN CHRIST FORGAVE YOU*
So, whenever we are offended, when we think of how God forgave us,it is easy to forgive.
