God Helps The Helpless
Psalm 63:7- Because You have been my help, therefore in the shadow of Your wings I will rejoice.
I have had people tell me, “Pastor Enoch, please pray for me. I can’t see a way out of the mess I am in. I know that this whole thing is my fault. Right now, I don’t even know whether God will hear my prayers.”
If you think about it, a whole lot of our troubles are of our own making. But it is when we deserve the punishment and not the blessing that we can receive grace — the undeserved favor and unmerited help of God!
When we stop trying to be deserving of God’s help, we find God more than willing to be our Savior. But when we continue to try to work things out, we are trying to be our own saviors. God will say, “Save yourself because I can’t help you when you don’t need My help.”
You might be thinking, “But Pastor Enoch, don’t you know, God helps those who help themselves?”
Contrary to popular belief, this saying that “God helps those who help themselves” is not in the Bible! God does not help those who help themselves. He helps those who are helpless and dependent on Him. He helps those who look to Him as their only source of help for their problem.
If you say, “My problem is that I am weak.” God says, “That is not a problem. I am your strength.” If you say, “Lord, my face is the problem. I am ugly.” God says, “My face will shine on yours. I am your glory.” If you say, “Lord, I am the problem. I am a nobody.” God says, “I will make you a somebody.”
Unfortunately, many of us are still trying to help ourselves, thinking that for certain matters, we don’t really need God. But God says, “Without Me, you can do nothing.” (John 15:5) Do we really believe that? Or do we believe that without Him, we can still do some things to help ourselves?
Only when we realize that we can do nothing, and are nothing in and of ourselves, can we do all things through Christ who strengthens us! (Philippians 4:13) Then, we will see the undeserved, unmerited help and favor of God deliver us from every evil!
Confession:
God helps those who are helpless and completely dependent on Him. Therefore, I’m divinely helped by God.
“God helps those who help themselves” is not in the Bible! God does not help those who help themselves. He helps those who are helpless and dependent on Him. He helps those who look to Him as their only source of help for their problems.
MY GOD AND THE REDEEMER OF MY SOUL. THANK YOU FOR BEING WITH ME AT THE WEAKEST AND MOST DEVASTATING TIMES OF MY LIFE, WHEN I KNOW IF IT WAS NOT FOR GOD WHO WAS ON MY SIDE.
PASTOR ENOCH AND ALL THOSE WHO KNOWS ME AND SEES ME TODAY WOULD NEVER MEET ME.
NONE OF MY CHILDREN I HAVE BEEN BLESSED WITH WOULD BE OF NONE EXISTENCE THROUGH ME.

IF IT WAS NOT THE LORD WHO WAS ON MY SIDE, LET MARGARET SAY. HALLELUJAH.
THIS IS MY REASON FOR TRUSTING AND SERVING GOD REGARDLESS.
HE HAS SEEN ME THROUGH EVERY TRAILS AND TRIBULATIONS OF MY LIFE. IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH MY LIFESTYLE OF FASTING AND PRAYING. BECAUSE WHEN ONE IS OVERWHELMED WITH THE UNEXPECTED STORMS OF LIFE. I WAS TOO FOCUSED ON TRYING TO JUST COPE SO I WON’T LOSE MY MIND OR COMMITTEE SUICIDE. HE MADE A WAY OF ESCAPE FROM THEM ALL FOR ME.
EVEN WHEN I DID NOT KNOW IT.
THANK YOU FATHER

I lift up my eyes to the hills – where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. Psalm 121:1
God help the weak and give grace to the humble, we all are hel0less in many situations of our lives, whether it is family situations, financial situations or other and it is only when we let go of the situations and look to our God then God will take us out.

I have learned to surrender my all to you Lord for you know all things, my needs, desires and my weaknesses. Lord you have searched my heart and know me inside out – I Praise Your Holy Name for Your timing is always on perfect.
My latest testimony – I have watched my son suffering since losing his father 7yrs ago.. for those 6.5yrs I tried to fix everything, I over compensated because of the great loss.. what I didn’t realise although I prayed earnestly was that I was not depending 100% on Gods favour to deliver my son from his grieving.. last year December I realised this and prayed for forgiveness – (the last part of my prayer after speaking to God about everything) Lord I give my son over to your hands, I trust you Lord to bring him through let Your will be done. Daily I sent my son these devotionals and some scriptures and he started to pray again – MY GOD HAS DELIVERED MY SON! TO GOD BE THE GLORY🙏🏽🙏🏽.
MY GOD IS GREAT HE ALWAYS COMES THROUGH FOR ME. This was a lesson to me to let go and let God take over – as parents we always want to fix everything no matter how grown our babies are, but let God do His will and the testimony will be yours too to share. THANK YOU LORD, THANK YOU JESUS, THANK YOU HOLY SPIRIT. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽. Thank you Pastor Enoch for you too was used as an instrument in my sons life – without your daily devotions he would not have been reading and may not have reconnected with his Saviour.
