God’s Faithfulness Through Every Season
Key Verse:
“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.” — Lamentations 3:22-23
Life is made up of different seasons—times of joy, waiting, growth, and even pain. Through every season, God’s faithfulness remains the same. No matter what we face, His love for us never changes, and His mercies are new every single day.
. Think about the Israelites. When they were in the wilderness, they faced hunger, fear, and uncertainty. Yet, every morning, God provided manna for them to eat (Exodus 16). He didn’t let them go hungry, and He made sure their needs were met. That’s faithfulness!
In our own lives, we see this too. Maybe you’ve experienced God’s provision when you didn’t know how you were going to pay a bill. Or perhaps you’ve gone through a difficult time, but somehow God gave you the strength to keep going. These moments remind us that God is with us in every season, just like He was with the Israelites.
When life is good, it’s easy to see God’s hand at work. In seasons of abundance, we can feel God’s blessings overflowing. For example, King David experienced God’s faithfulness when he defeated Goliath and later became king. In 1 Chronicles 29:12, David said, “Wealth and honor come from You; You are the ruler of all things.”
In our lives, this could look like getting a promotion, finding love, or celebrating milestones like a new baby or a wedding. In these moments, we must remember to thank God for His faithfulness and recognise that every blessing comes from Him.
Waiting can be one of the hardest seasons to endure. It’s a time when we pray, but it seems like nothing is happening. Yet even in the waiting, God is faithful. Abraham and Sarah’s story shows this so clearly. God promised them a child, but they waited 25 years for Isaac to be born (Genesis 21:1). Even though they struggled with doubt, God kept His promise at the right time.
You might be waiting for a job, healing, a relationship, or an answer to a prayer. While waiting can feel frustrating, it’s important to remember that God’s timing is perfect. As Isaiah 40:31 says, “But those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength.”
