Heed the Whispers: Listening to God’s Sacred Signals!
A few days ago, while driving, I noticed smoke seeping from my car. I pulled over, sniffed around, and searched for the source but found nothing. So, I kept driving. Then it occurred to me how often we sense something is off in our lives, like the faint smell of trouble, but shrug it off and keep going.
Imagine that I stop, sniff, and spot a spark, a wire melting, and a fire brewing. But says to myself, “I’ll deal with it when I reach my destination,” and drive on. Insane, right?
But that is what many of us do daily. You feel it, that quiet nudge, that inner whisper saying something is wrong. Yet you keep scrolling, working, pretending everything is fine.
Until it is not.
You knew the relationship was toxic, but you hoped they’d change. You sensed that the business deal was shady, but you ignored it. You knew alcohol was harming you, but you brushed it off until it exploded into a breakdown, an outburst, or a diagnosis. Then, you spend your wealth trying to reclaim the health you traded away.
Beloved, your emotions are not noise. They are divine alerts, God’s whispers saying, “Pay attention.”
That anxiety.
That burnout.
That “I can’t do this anymore.
Those are sparks and internal smoke alarms. But we were never taught how to listen. We were raised to live from the outside in. To chase success and ignore the signals. To keep moving even as we melt from within.
The Bible says, “Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, ‘This is the way; walk in it’” (Isaiah 30:21).
Every nudge, whisper, or spark is a sacred signal, not just of what is wrong but of what is possible. God does not abandon His own; He guides them. So, yield to His leading.
From now on, commit to never ignoring the Holy Spirit’s voice. Don’t silence it.

Mind blowing, so many times the small voice confirms trouble brewing. Yet, I ignored.
Dear father in heaven, please help me yield and obey the voice of the Lord. Remind me that the holy spirit lives in me and guides my thoughts and actions. May I not fall victim to the dangers of ignoring the voice that alerts me to dangers. Amen.

The Holy Spirit speaks always but is your antenna sharp enough to receive that signal?
Our ability to receive the Holy Spirit signals is based on how close we are to him, how teachable and open we are to him, and how sensitive we are in the spirit.
The voice of the Holy Spirit can come inform of a nudge, whisper of a spark be alert to receive it.
So many times this has happened to me and when I don’t listen things ALWAYS go wrong. Lord help me to heed to the voice of the Holy Spirit, for I know Lord that you guide me to the paths of righteousness.🙏🏽.
