Jesus Is All That Matters
“For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” — Philippians 1:21
There are many things competing for our attention in today’s world. Success, wealth, recognition, possessions, careers, and even good things like family and ministry can quietly take the place that belongs to Jesus. Yet the greatest discovery a believer can make is that Jesus is enough. When Christ becomes the center of your life, everything else finds its proper place.
The Apostle Paul had every reason to boast in his achievements, education, and influence, but he counted them all as loss compared to the surpassing worth of knowing Christ (Philippians 3:8). He understood that nothing in this world compares with a personal relationship with Jesus.
Many people spend their lives pursuing things that will eventually fade away. Titles can be lost, money can disappear, and earthly accomplishments will one day pass away. But your relationship with Jesus has eternal value. He is the source of peace in troubled times, hope in disappointment, strength in weakness, and joy in every season.
When Jesus is all that matters, you will not be controlled by the opinions of people. Your identity is found in Him. You will not be shaken by temporary setbacks because your confidence rests in His unchanging promises. You will love others more deeply because His love fills your heart. Your priorities change, your decisions become wiser, and your life begins to reflect His character.
Jesus does not simply want to be part of your life; He wants to be the Lord of your life. He deserves first place in your thoughts, your time, your relationships, your finances, your ambitions, and your future.
Today, ask yourself: Is Jesus truly the greatest treasure of my heart? If everything else were taken away, would Christ still be enough for me? A life centered on Jesus is a life that will never be wasted.
