Jesus Took Your Place So That You Can Take His
Matthew 27:46- And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli ,lama sabachthani?” that is, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”
Do you know that it was at the cross that Jesus addressed His Father as “God” for the first time? He had always addressed His Father as “Father”. But at Calvary’s tree, He addressed His Father as “God”.
Jesus lost that Father-Son relationship when He was representing you and carrying your sins at the cross so that today, you can call God “Abba! Father!” (Romans 8:15) and have a loving father-son relationship with God forever. Jesus was forsaken by God and His world became very dark on that lonely hill so that in your darkest hour, God will always say to you, “I will never leave you nor forsake you!” (Hebrews 13:5)
At the time when Jesus needed God most, God turned His back on Him. God had to turn His back on His Son because His eyes are too holy to behold all the sin that was in His Son’s body. And because God turned His back on Jesus, He will never turn His back on you. Instead, you will see God’s face of favor shining on you all the time!
Jesus also took your place of no protection at the cross. For the first time, He gave up divine protection so that you can have it every day of your life! And because He became sin, He took your curse at the cross so that today, as you take His gift of righteousness, you receive only blessings from God.
Jesus received the full brunt of God’s wrath in His body once and for all when He carried your sins. All of God’s anger and condemnation fell on Him, consuming all your sins until God’s wrath was exhausted.
Today, God is not angry with you. The body of Jesus absorbed everything — your sins, curses, and God’s anger and condemnation. So live life expecting to see not the judgment, but the goodness and blessings of God!

Jesus died for my sins and im grateful. Because of his love for me he was bruised so i might be redeemed. His a good good father . He did it all for my sake so i might overcome all obstacles in my life.

This was indeed meant for me… the past days I’ve been going through an emotional rollercoaster, which lead me to isolate. Kept reflecting on the fresh wounds of what I went through and questioning myself why everything happened the way they did. I kinda felt like coming to church wasn’t helping because I was questioning God’s plans but Nichole kept talking to me encouraging me to pray listening to pastors Sermons on YouTube, listening to the word. Everytime pastor would try to reach out I wouldn’t be interested to talk because of the grief and pain I was going through. Pastor please forgive me for not returning calls.
And yesterday evangelist Margaret called me and didn’t want to pick her phone call the first time..yet when she had messaged me I replied. Then eventually I called her back and she spoke to me, said all her wisdom and knowledge she had and what she overcame in the past. Which opened my eye again. Also remember Deborah’s words again telling me since I gave myself to Christ, a lot of evil trials are after me. Then I started praying and praying. Asking for God’s mercies and redirection for me to do the right thing hence that’s why I’m on here today to testify that the Devil is loosing the battle.
Then after praying I called my friend Nichole and Paris asking them to come with me to church on Friday- I’m really excited to come back to the house of the lord. Because I know I’m not judged in his house, I know his plans are not to harm me but to prosper me. I’m thankful for the refugee Church , for pastor who kept sending me the daily devotions and as much as I felt so down everytime I read the word everyday it made me feel abit better. Thank you for brother Godwin who would always message me when he doesn’t see me in church, I appreciate you.
And to whoever is reading this, the battle of the evil spirit is over once you continue to have faith in God to do his work.
Jesus’ work is working in me and I am an Eagle believer

This is so powerful. Jesus on the cross and took my guilt and shame, he could have called ten thousand angels but he die to save me, an undeserved, unmerited.
Thank you Jesus that now I can proudly say when you were on the cross I was on your mind.
