Keeping Your Faith Alive
Hebrews 10:23 – “Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised).”
Faith is the lifeline of every believer. It is through faith that we are saved, walk with God, and overcome the challenges of life. However, faith can become weak when we allow fear, disappointment, unanswered prayers, or life’s pressures to take our focus away from God.
Keeping your faith alive requires intentional effort. Just as a fire needs fuel to keep burning, your faith needs spiritual nourishment to remain strong. You keep your faith alive by spending time in God’s Word, praying consistently, worshipping, and remembering God’s past faithfulness.
There may be seasons when prayers seem unanswered and circumstances appear contrary to God’s promises. In such moments, do not abandon your faith. Abraham remained strong in faith despite impossible circumstances because he trusted God’s promises above his situation (Romans 4:20-21).
Faith is not denying reality; it is believing that God has the final say. Every challenge you face is an opportunity for your faith to grow stronger. Refuse to let doubt, fear, or negative reports extinguish your confidence in God.
How to Keep Your Faith Alive:
- Feed on God’s Word daily.
- Maintain a consistent prayer life.
- Surround yourself with people of faith.
- Remember and recount God’s previous testimonies.
- Continue obeying God even when you do not understand His ways.
