Not Satisfied With Just Being Saved
Genesis 12:7- Then the Lord appeared to Abram and said, “To your descendants I will give this land.” And there he built an altar to the Lord, who had appeared to him.
I don’t know about you, but I am not satisfied with just knowing that I am righteous by faith. I also want to get to know the One who made me righteous. I want to have an intimate relationship with my Savior!
Abraham was such a man. He was righteous by faith, but he also had a close walk with God and was blessed by God in all things. (Genesis 24:1) His nephew Lot, on the other hand, although righteous too (2 Peter 2:7–8), had no heart for God. He ended up losing a lot when Sodom, the city he dwelt in, was destroyed along with Gomorrah. He was saved by the skin of his teeth!
My friend, do you want to be a Christian like Lot, righteous but always finding yourself in trouble, or do you want to be a righteous-and-blessed Christian like Abraham? Then, like Abraham, have a heart for God.
From place to place, Abraham would build an altar to the Lord. And in between altars, he grew very rich! (Genesis 13:2) There is no biblical record, however, of Lot ever building an altar to the Lord.
What is an “altar” in today’s context? It is a place where you know that you have a close relationship with God.
The place where you cast all your cares to the Lord and leaned on His love for you. That is “altar”.
We have got to have this kind of relationship with God, one full of “altars” that remind us of His love, goodness and faithfulness. Let’s not live the Christian life like Lot, saved by the skin of our teeth. Let’s walk closely with God as Abraham did, and be richly blessed in every area of our lives!

2 Corinthians 5 V 21
God made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” Here we have a double imputation. God imputed our sins to Christ who knew no sin. And God imputed his righteousness to us who had no righteousness of our own. The key phrases for us are “the righteousness of God” and “in Him.” It’s not our righteousness that we get here. It is God’s righteousness. And we get it not because our faith is righteous, but because we are “in Christ.” Faith unites us to Christ. It is God’s righteousness in Christ. Or you can say it is Christ’s righteousness. He takes our sin. We take his righteousness.
John 15:15
“No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you.”

GOOD MORNING PASTOR, THIS IS A REAL DEEP DEVOTIONAL THIS MORNING. IN ALL MY WALK AND WORK WITH THE ALMIGHTY, IN ALL MY RIGHTEOUSNESS, I WANT MORE THAN ANY WORKS, KNOW HIM PERSONAL. I LOVE WHAT YOU SAID ABOUT ABRAHAM, AND THAT IS WHAT BEING SAVED AND RETAINING MY SALVATION IS ALL ABOUT.
AT TIMES, IN THE STORMS OF LIFE, IT LOOKS LIKE WE ARE FAR FROM HIM, BUT HE SEES THE HEART 9F THOSE WHO ARE IN THE KINGDOM FIELD AND THAT IS WHAT HE MATTERS TO HIM. NOT THE WORK THAT WE ARE DOING.
AT TIMES MEN DO EYE SERVICE, ONLY MAN CAN SEE THE HARD WORK ONE IS DOING, BUT GOD SEES THE HEART. LIKE HE DID WITH DAVID WHO WAS HIDDEN IN THE BUSH.

Although we zealously serve the Lord and remain firm in our doctrine, like the Ephesians, we can let our devotion slip or at least, take a back seat to a busy life. Like our father pastor Enoch always say to have personal relationship with God through our devotion life .
Also let remember what Christ asked Peter three times after the resurrection? “Do you love Me?” (John 21:17).
Let Keep in mind what Jesus told Martha about her sister, who sat at His feet? “Mary has chosen what is better” (Luke 10:42).
Remember what the Lord ranked as the greatest commandment: “You shall love the Lord your God will all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind” (Matthew 22:37).
All these cause us to evaluate our relationship with God. Our serving God should never replace our devotion to Him (John 15:5). Instead, our devotion should fuel our serving. The Lord Jesus points to our first love for Him as the hub from which every other activity should flow. Hallelujah praise the lord .

Lord I want to be seen in your eyes like that of Abraham, I want to have this close walk with you Father for without you I am nothing. Lord please continue to hold my hand as we walk together. In the precious and mighty name of JESUS I ask this. Amen. 🙏🏽

More than ever with the way things are going in the world we need to cling to God, hungering and thirsting for a deep and intimate relationship that is fixed on His Kingdom matters. Jesus, Abraham and many others sacrificed so much to prove their love for God and drew close to God in ways that cannot be measured. Whatever it takes Lord I intentionally Choose to have an intimate relationship with the You, the One who made me righteous-and-blessed like Jesus Christ. I will strive towards You daily Andover my best to impact my generation for Jesus and Your Kingdom Lord. Nothing by all means shall stop me as I remain fixed on You. I walk closely with You Lord setting my altars as You deserve and more wherever I go. Thank You for Your grace, mercy and love that allows me to draw closer to You Lord.
