One in Christ Jesus
Gal 3:28– There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
One thing about us as humans is that we want to understand everything. We become disturbed the moment there is something we do not understand. We are very quick to create a definition for everything. Even when our definitions are wrong, we are more comfortable with a wrong definition than the definiteness of not knowing at all. However, it is okay not to know everything. We just need to know enough.
When we leave the realm of definitions, the next thing is to jump on the classification train. We like to create distinctions and classes thereby, creating a basis for comparison and discrimination. Even among Christians, we have created different classes – orthodox, protestants, revivalists, holiness movements, hyper grace movements, prosperity movements, etc. In the church, we even discriminate on the grounds of colour, ethnic origin, gender, economic status, etc. This isn’t God’s will for us as a church.
Sometimes, we are blinded by our seeming differences that we cannot ask help from Christians in other groups and classes. God’s design for the church is for us to be united to our Head and to each other. There is no need for the classes we try to create. Christ died for us all and brought down the wall of partition separating us. Therefore, there is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slaves nor free, neither rich nor poor, neither black nor white. Even gifts and the anointing should not be a basis for discrimination in the house of God.
Jesus did not die for the rich, or the Jews, or the pentecostals, or the pastors. He did not die for any particular group; He died for humanity. Once anyone accepts Jesus into their lives as lord and personal saviour, the person is accepted into the family of God and the family of God is just one. So let us forget about the differences we think we are seeing and focus on Jesus. He is our uniting factor; He is our head and all things are brought together in Him.

Classification in church comes from the flesh and shouldn’t be encouraged.
Don’t be a source of any kind of classification that Christ had shattered when he died.

Jesus died for humanity not any particular group. Once you are saved, a person is accepted into the family of God and the family of God is just one. So we should walk together in unity.

When we get focused on the things that divide us, we lose sight of the Person uniting us, even Jesus Christ Who holds all things together under Himself. We are called to be joined to the Head (Christ) and the Body (The Church).
