One Thing Is Needful
Proverbs 4:20–21: My son, give attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. 21Do not let them depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart;
George Müller, who lived in the 1800s, cared for about 10,000 orphans in total in his five large orphanages. But he never allowed his huge responsibility to take him away from the Word of God. He said that every day, he would set aside time to study the scriptures until his inner man was happy in the Lord.
Once, Müller met a man who worked between 14 and 16 hours every day. He told the man, “You are destroying your health. You don’t have time for your family and, most importantly, you don’t have time to nourish your inner man with the Word of God.”
The man replied, “I hear you, but I can’t see how I can cut down my working hours and spend time in the Word because even with the 14 to 16 hours I put in each day, I still can’t put enough bread on the table for my family.”
As the man walked away, Müller said, “He doesn’t believe that if he gives time to God’s Word first, God will take care of all his needs.”
Likewise, do you really believe that every day, only one thing is needful? Even if the bills don’t get paid, the children are not making any headway in their studies and the office work is not completed, all these things can wait. Only one thing is needful — that you spend time in the Word of God.
When Martha complained to Jesus that her sister Mary had left her to serve alone (Mary was sitting at Jesus’ feet and hearing His Word), Jesus defended Mary by saying, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.” (Luke 10:41–42)
My friend, you will not lose out when you take time to sit down and listen to God’s Word. Even your health and well-being will be blessed. (Proverbs 4:22) So take time today to meditate on His Word. It will make your way prosperous (Joshua 1:8–9), and give you divine health and good success!

Amen! Being intentional about our spiritual growth is the 1st key to exceptional Life 🌻. Being intentional is not the same as when it is convenient. We must put God 1st whether it is convenient or not & whether we feel like it or not. This one thing is needful. Very blessed by today’s devotion sir, God bless you 🌸🙏🏾

The Bible is provided for us to do the work God has placed before us to bring Him glory. It will guide us with each step we take. “Every” reminds us that there is no situation that is out of God’s sovereignty. We can trust that spending time in His Word will prepare us to live out our faith, that is, the good work. Amen 🙌 🙏

RUTH CHOSE TO BE INTENTIONAL ABOUT HER LIFE, HER SPIRITUAL LIFE, SHE SAID TO HER MOTHER-IN-LAW NAOMI THAT YOUR GOD WILL BE MY GOD YOUR PEOPLE WILL BE MY PEOPLE WHERE YOU ARE BURIED I WILL BE BURIED THIS IS ROYALTY IN SEEING THE TRUTH, AND INTENTIONALLY MAKING THAT DECISION REGARDLESS OF WHAT IS LEFT BEHIND I HAVE FOUND THE TRUTH AND I AM GOING WITH IT.
I REMEMBER THROUGH MY EARLY STAGES OF BEING BORN AGAIN I WAS I WAS FULL OF FIRE, 🔥🔥🔥 READING MY BIBLE EVERYDAY MAKING SURE THAT I LIVE A LIFE PLEASING TO GOD.
THEN THE STORMS OF LIFE IF CAME HURRICANE TSUNAMIS AT TIMES FOR LIKE EVEN THE GROUND NOT ONLY SHAKING BUT I WAS WANT TO SWALLOW ME UP AND ALL THIS DISTRACTIONS TENDS TO KEEP ONE AWAY FROM THE WORD OF GOD.
AND THIS IS ALL THE TRICK OF THE DEVIL TO KEEP US AWAY FROM BEING INTENTIONAL ABOUT OUR SPIRITUAL LIFE.
SO HE CAN HAVE HIS WICKED WAYS WITH US US STOP.
PRAISE THE LORD TODAY I HAVE FOUND A TRUE MAN OF GOD A TRUE WOMAN OF GOD WHO WILL TEACH US BY LIVING BY EXAMPLE OF HOW TO BE INTENTIONAL ABOUT OUR SPIRITUAL LIFE.
WHAT ELSE MATTERS? AT THE END OF THE DAY AT THE END OF OUR LIFE, IT IS NOT THE BEGINNING, OR WHAT HAPPENS IN BETWEEN, IT IS THE END, AND HOW WE END UP HOW HAVE WE FINISHED THE RACE OF SALVATION?THIS IS WHAT MATTERS.
I NEED TO FINISH THE GOOD FIGHT GOOD.

One thing is needful, that I consistently put God first in studying and meditating on His Word, as He gives me the privilege to see a new day. After all God is the creator of time, provider of all abilities and through His Word we can adopt the lifestyle of Christ and build our inner man. Therefore, no matter what my day looks like I will ensure that my inner man is nourished through the Word of God daily and lay everything else at the feet of Christ who brings me peace and light in life.
It is my needful duty first in life to be equipped with The Word of God.

Praise the Lord I can relate this to our House fellowship teaching about the 7 keys of an exceptional life . As the 1st key is to be intentional about our spiritual growth. It is very paramount to be studying and meditating the word of God daily if not listen to the powerful teaching by our pastor ,to equipped ourselves spiritually and make our way prosperous. This an analogies for instance if you deep a sponge in any liquid being oil or water as you take the sponge out and squeeze it what come out is either the water or the oil . So it is when we soak ourselves in the word of God study it listen to preaching and teachings what will literally comes out of us is the word of God .

Hallelujah thank you King Jesus for this powerful word. I will take time to nourish my inner man with the word of God, I will Give God’s word first place as God will indeed take care of my needs. Time with the lord in his word gives me unlimited grace including my health and well-being will be supernaturally blessed. My Spiritual well-being will nourish my physical well-being in Jesus name. Matthew 4:4…man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
John 6:63…the words that I speak to you, they are Spirit and they are life… It is the word that empowers us to be more like Christ because as we study the word, we receive more of His Spirit and gives us life.
The key to existence is the word of God at each point in time.
