The Battle Is The Lord’s

2 Chronicles 20:15… Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.

When faced with a problem or challenge, we tend to ask ourselves, “What am I going to do?” And well-meaning family members and friends will come along and ask, “What are you going to do?”

Jehoshaphat faced a multitude of enemies. But instead of focusing on what he would do, he prayed, “O our God, will You not judge them? For we have no power against this great multitude that is coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are upon You.” (2 Chronicles 20:12)

When we turn our eyes to God, we will hear Him say, “Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s… You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord…” (2 Chronicles 20:15, 17)

But standing still is the last thing we want to do when the enemy is coming against us. It is also the most difficult thing to do because we feel that we cannot just stand around and do nothing — we must try to save the situation. But God wants us to stand still and see Jesus our salvation fight for us.

So what do you do the next time you are faced with a battle and don’t know what to do? Jehoshaphat sent his singers to the front of the army to proclaim, “Praise the Lord, for His mercy endures forever.” (2 Chronicles 20:21) Some people will wonder, “Does that mean that I just sing and don’t do anything else when I have a problem?” No, that is not what I am saying.

Do what the situation requires, but don’t worry and don’t trust in what you do. Like Jehoshaphat, rest and trust in His mercy that endures forever. When you do that, God will turn your battlefield into the Valley of Berachah. Berachah means “blessings”. The children of Israel gave the battlefield this name because it took them three days to gather all the spoils of war! God turned their situation into a great blessing! (2 Chronicles 20:25–26)

Do you have a battle to fight? Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord!

Jesus said he will never leave me nor forsake me. Some trust in Chariots but I will remember the name of the Lord thy God, I will be still and know my God does not slumber nor sleeps, he still answers prayers, he sees all, knows all and he will fight for me all I need to do is believe and be still.
    God bless you Pastor 🙏

What ever challenge i am facing in my life or the enemy or devil wants to attack me . I will stand still and my god will find the solution.
Like yesterday i turned up to a new work placement and the staff that received me said have i worked here before . I said No. The staff answered i have no time to show the ropes and she’s so busy and it’s better i go home.
I stood still. i answered that it’s fine that i booked in to work and i can work with anoher member of staff or just tell what I have to do and are do ir. The staff paused and said ok start to do this tasks and are carry on. Thank you God for giving me the words at the right time. I then worked with other staff and enjoyed working with Adults with Autism and Learning disabilities i was supporting. Later on in day the lady received me later came and apologised the way she received me and hope it didn’t put me off coming back . I said it’s fine and i can understand how she felt and even wants me come back again.
I leaarnt later on in the day from another staff that the staff that received me that she finds it difficult to be in charge because of pressure she’s got with running everything.
I said you know it’s never easy being in charge but thats to right way to treat new staff and that I did take it personally but after i had such a brillante day. but she qas glad a stood my ground.with you and others as i really wanted to work here as the placement is walking distance from my home and can work around my son while he is in school or after school club.
Later on in the day the staff member that had received me was checking rotas for next week and the day i was coming back was overstaffed and they had to choose someone to cancel and she ended up cancelling another person as she not keen on him, Turned to and said that she really liked me a member of staff and next time she on with me that she wants no mistakes.
I said thank you very much i appreciate that.
Praise God before i would not be able to stand my ground i would of just gone home but my god you were there at the right time to give me the confidence and right words at the right time. God never leaves or forsake you.
    Hallelujah
God bless you Pastor for all you do.

  4. God wants me to stand still and see Jesus my salvation fight for me. Hallelujah. AMEN

    WAO! Powerful revelation Sir.

We must first acknowledge our inability to help ourselves, then totally look unto God and trust Him as the only one who can help. Most times, we want to help ourselves… As the proverbs says “it is a child that open his arms to the father that the father will carry”
This means total surrender to God and then He will lift us up over all situations and circumstances.

Do you have a battle to fight? Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord!

I surrender all to you Lord and I declare my situation turns to a great blessing. Zechariah 9:12(NLT) says… GOD will repay two blessings for each of my troubles.AMEN 🕺🕺🕺

Thank you so much Pastor for this wonderful revelation to know that when we surrender our battle unto God, He turns it around for our good.

The Lord continue to increase, multiply, replenish, bless, preserve, nourish, uplift and uphold you Sir, the family, ministry and endeavours in the name of Jesus. AMEN

    Shalom Pastor
