The Blessing of Starting Again
“Though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again.” — Prov 24:16 (NIV)
Starting again can feel daunting. It can feel like failure, like weakness, like going backwards. But in God’s kingdom, starting again is not a setback, it is a blessing. It is a sign that grace is still available, that hope is still alive, that God is not finished with you.
Every great story in Scripture includes a moment of starting again. Peter started again after denial. Jonah started again after running. David started again after failure. Naomi started again after loss.
Starting again is not a sign that you’ve lost your way, it is a sign that God is leading you into a new one. God never shames you for needing a fresh start. He welcomes you into it. He meets you at the beginning with mercy, strength, and renewed purpose.
Starting again means you are still growing, still learning, still becoming. It means God still has plans for you.
And here is the beautiful truth: every time you start again, you start with more wisdom, more resilience, and more clarity than before. You are not starting from scratch, you are starting from experience.
