The God that Sees Me
Genesis 16:13– Then she called the name of the LORD who spoke to her, You Are the God Who Sees; for she said, “Have I also here seen Him who sees me?”
Have you ever been in a situation where it looks like nothing you do is really working? Trust me, everyone has been there. Others do a business and succeed but once you launch your own, everything goes upside down. You start a job and the following week, a new management comes on board and things go sour. You hear people’s testimony every day and you keep asking when your own time will come. Listen! The Lord sees you.
Are you the faithful brother in church yet nothing is working? Are you the Barnabas that encourages everyone yet your nights are filled with silent tears? Are you the minister who prays for people and they receive their miracles and yet when you pray for yourself, it seems like God never hears you? Are you the one who sows seeds of kindness everywhere and yet never receives a harvest? Are you the one people reach out to when they are in crisis and yet when it’s your turn, no one turns up for you? Don’t lose heart because the Lord sees you.
Hagar was in your shoe but the Lord was seeing her. She was given to Sarah as a handmaid and Sarah gave her to Abraham. Hagar was treated like a piece of equipment to be given and taken. When Sarah no longer saw the need to keep her, she sent her away with her son but the Lord was looking on. He saw and He still sees. Then He showed up and made Hagar a promise. He said, “It doesn’t matter what you and your son have gone through, I will bless you”.
It is fatal to think that God isn’t seeing all your good works. It is dangerous to think of giving up now. It is already too late. You are very close to the finish line. The Lord sees you and urges you to keep at it, to keep going. God sees your good work. He sees the injustice that you are suffering. He sees your affliction. He sees your silent tears. He hears your most secret prayers and He tells you that your reward will be great. He is designing something great for you. Don’t give up before the time of your manifestation.
Confession
