The Heritage of God’s People
Isaiah 54:17– No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that shall arise against you in judgement you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, says the Lord
Most people think that once you become a child of God, you will be immune from all the troubles of life. This is not true. In fact, the opposite is true. Once you accept Jesus Christ into your life as your lord and personal saviour, the devil will do everything possible to pluck you from your saviour’s hand.
The devil throws sickness at you so that you can start doubting God’s power to heal. He throws lack at you so that you will stop believing the providence of God. He throws rejection in your face so that you can start doubting God’s love and ultimately create room for depressing thoughts. His tactics never changes. He accuses and condemns the children of God. That is why scripture describes him as the accuser of the brethren.
The bible tells us that none of the devil’s weapons fashioned against us shall prosper. Whether he throws them directly at us or uses people, systems, and policies, does not matter. What matters is what the word of God says, and it says that none of these weapons shall prosper. So what is assaulting you? Is it sickness, lack, condemnation from past mistakes? None of these shall prosper because you are God’s child and the blood of Jesus has been shed to set you free from all these and more.
Let the devil keep trying. Let him employ all his antics. Your heritage is victory and acquittal. The price has been paid, the victory has been secured. All you need to do is to lay claim on that victory and appropriate it for yourself and family. It is your heritage!
