The Power of a Guarded Heart
“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” — Proverbs 4:23 (NIV)
Your heart is the wellspring of your life, your emotions, your thoughts, your decisions, your relationships, your faith. And because your heart is precious, it must be guarded. Not hardened, not closed, not walled off but guarded with wisdom, discernment, and spiritual maturity.
Guarding your heart means being mindful of what you allow to influence you. It means protecting your peace, your joy, your purity, your focus. It means recognising when something drains you, distracts you, or damages you. It means setting boundaries without apology. It means choosing what aligns with God’s voice over what appeals to your feelings.
Jesus guarded His heart. He withdrew from crowds. He chose His inner circle carefully. He refused to be manipulated by pressure or expectation. Guarding your heart is not selfish. It is spiritual stewardship.
A guarded heart is a healthy heart. It is a heart that can love deeply without losing itself. It is a heart that can give generously without becoming empty. It is a heart that can forgive freely without becoming foolish. It is a heart that stays soft toward God and wise toward people.

It is not selfish or manipulated by pressure or people’s expectations. Father guard my heart for our of it are the issues of life.
