The Storm Is Over
“He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.”— Psalm 107:29 (KJV)
Storms are an inevitable part of life. They come in different forms: financial hardship, sickness, family challenges, disappointment, grief, betrayal, or seasons of uncertainty. Sometimes the storm lasts longer than expected, leaving us weary and wondering if peace will ever return.
The good news is this: every storm has an expiry date.
Throughout Scripture, we see that God never abandoned His people in the middle of their storms. He was with Noah through the flood, with the disciples on the stormy sea, and with Paul during the violent tempest that threatened his life. In every situation, God proved Himself faithful.
When Jesus stood in the boat and rebuked the wind and the waves, there was an immediate calm (Mark 4:39). The same Jesus still speaks peace into every storm today. What looks impossible to man is never impossible for God.
Perhaps you have been crying, praying, and waiting for a breakthrough. Be encouraged. The God who began a good work in your life will finish it. The storm you are facing is not your destination; it is only a passage to a greater testimony. Your pain will give birth to purpose, your tears will become joy, and your trial will produce triumph.
Don’t allow the storm to define your future. Fix your eyes on Christ rather than the waves. God’s promises remain true even when circumstances seem contrary. Hold on to your faith, continue trusting Him, and refuse to give up.
Your storm will not last forever. Morning always follows the darkest night. The same God who allows the storm is the God who calms it. Your season of peace has arrived. The storm is over.
