Walking with God

”And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters: and all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years: and Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.“ ‭‭Gen ‭5‬:‭22‬-‭24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Many people think all they need to do to be in the kingdom is to become born again, and after that, nothing more. They are oblivious to the fact that they need to have a walk with God. Being born again is like getting into a new city, and walking with God is like thriving in that city.

What does it mean to walk with God? To walk with God simply means to have an unbroken and deep fellowship with Him. Walking with God also means to be in partnership with Him, to love Him, and to serve Him with all your heart (Deuteronomy 10:12).

Just like David, your walk with God causes your soul to start longing after him. Your heart pants for him like a deer pants for water. Hearing his voice and studying his word daily fills your heart with exceeding joy and makes you feel fulfilled.

It was because of David’s walk that he was able to become a man after God’s heart. When you walk with God, His will becomes your will, His concerns become your concerns, and His needs become your needs. You become zealous to see Him reign and glorified (Psalm 69:9). You are able to please him, touch so many lives, and like Paul, complete your course on earth.

So many come to church today only to use God. Once they get their breakthroughs, they stop fellowship with God. But God is seeking for those that will walk with Him, in Spirit, and in truth. He is looking for people who will seek him sincerely and diligently. God wants to partner with you.

Enoch walked with God and never saw death. Nobody walks with God and suffers corruption. Your company determines what accompanies you. And when God becomes your companion, greatness in life and eternity are assured (2 Peter 1:3)

Jesus is someone to be obsessed about. I urge you to renew your commitment to walk with God today. The blessedness of being his companionship is so enormous. There’s no friend like Jesus.

    MY GOD MY LIFE AND THE LIVES OF MY CHILDREN GRANDCHILDREN AND GREAT-GRAND CHILDREN UNTO A THOUSAND GENERATIONS ARE IN YOUR HAND. PAPA GOD, I NEED MORE OF YOU O LORD.
    MY HEART’S DESIRES ARE TO DO YOUR WILL AND PLAN YOU HAVE ALREADY WRITTEN CONCERNING MY LIFE. YOU ARE THE OWNER OF MY DESTINY. YOU ARE THE COVENANT KEEPING GOD.
