Watch God Work!
Isaiah 64:4 – “Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides you, who acts on behalf of those who wait for him.”
There are seasons in our lives when we feel as if we are waiting. Waiting for answers to prayers, waiting for God’s direction, or simply waiting for the circumstances in our lives to change. In these moments, it’s easy to become discouraged, wondering if God is still at work or if He has forgotten us. Yet, God’s timing and methods are often different from ours, and He is always working, even when we can’t see it. The invitation of Isaiah 64:4 is simple yet profound: “Watch God work.”
When we are in the waiting room of life, God is still at work, often behind the scenes, orchestrating circumstances, moulding our hearts, and preparing us for what is to come. It is during these times that God calls us to trust Him, to hold on to His promises, and to anticipate His movement, knowing that He is always acting on behalf of those who wait for Him. God is never idle, and His plans are always greater than what we can imagine.
The beauty of “watching God work” is that it requires faith. We cannot always see how He is moving, nor can we understand His ways. Yet, Scripture assures us that He is actively involved in our lives. Just as a potter shapes clay, God is continually shaping us, refining us, strengthening our character, and growing our faith.
There are countless stories in the Bible of God working in ways that seemed impossible or invisible until the moment of revelation. Abraham and Sarah waited decades for the promise of a child, yet God’s promise was fulfilled in His perfect timing. The Israelites wandered in the desert for forty years, but God was preparing them to enter the promised land. Even Jesus’ disciples had to wait, often not understanding what He was doing, only to witness His power in the resurrection. We too are called to wait in expectation, to trust that God is working, even in seasons of uncertainty. Watching God work isn’t about sitting idly; it’s about active trust, prayer, and belief in the God who moves mountains, parts seas, and makes a way where there seems to be no way.
Today, take a moment to reflect on the areas of your life where you are waiting. Trust that God is at work in ways you may not yet see. Watch for His hand at work and know that His timing is perfect, for this our year of Supernatural Increase. Remember, sometimes the waiting is as much a part of His plan as the outcome itself.

God acts on behalf of his people this means he knows who you are, what you are passing through and can make a way for you but you will need to trust him, his timing and also surrender to him communicating your fears to him through prayer.
