When God Ran
Luke 15:22: “But the father said to his servants, ‘Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet.
If you are a believer, you are probably familiar with the touching story of the prodigal son that Jesus shared. Who do you think the father in the story represents? Jesus’ Father in heaven, of course. Jesus was giving us a picture of His Father, who is also our Father.
In the story, the father was seen running toward his son, who was returning home. (Luke 15:20) Do you realize that God is never described as being in a hurry in the Bible? He is always cool and composed. The only time He is portrayed as being in a hurry is in this story. Though improper in Jewish culture, the father held up his robe and ran. Where was he running to? Why was he in such a hurry?
The father was in a hurry because he had seen his son, who was still a long way from home. He was running toward his son as he could not wait to embrace and kiss his child again.
The father was in a hurry to clothe his son with the best robe. My friend, our Father has put the best robe — the robe of righteousness — on us. In doing so, He has reinstated us as sons of the Most High God, a position that we had lost when Adam fell.
The father was in a hurry to put a ring on his son’s hand. Like the authority that is invested in the signet ring of a rich man’s son, our Father is eager to put back into our hands the authority to invoke His name, so that we can walk in dominion every day.
The father was in a hurry to put sandals on his son’s feet to assure him that he was still his son — only servants went about barefoot. Our Father never wants us to feel like hired servants or outcasts. We are always His sons.
Beloved, if the Father appears to be in a hurry, it is only because He is in a hurry to assure you of your position as His precious child!

This is too much love if you are familiar with our parents… what will they do first when they see you coming, we need to call for the meeting and the LONG procedure have to be followed …. BUT HERE WE CAN SEE LOVE IN OPERATION..I AM OVERWHELMED

This is so beautiful, the joy that this father experienced to see his son return back to him is everything. God carries this same joy when we repent from our rebellious, wicked ways and turn back to Him. He runs back to us too with open arms longing to hold us again ❤️🙏🏾. It’s so important that we also see our Father as the compassionate, kind, merciful, graceful, forgiving, Father that He is. He longs for us to be reconciled with Him and to turn back to Him, no matter how far we have gone 🥰🙏🏾🌻. He is just so loving and graceful, always giving us more than we deserve ❤️. God is always in a hurry to come to me for various reasons, including my safety, protection, provision, as a demonstration of His love for me,etc. He comes to me, not for His own interest but mine. I thank You God Almighty. What an awesome Father that You are. Amen 🙏

Seeing his son return to him was a time of great Joy. It also reminds me of the Shepard who went to look for his one sheep that was lost. The one sheep was of importance to the Shepard as the 99 were actually safe . God is happy when we return to him , when we have recognised that we have sinned and repent the heaven’s rejoice. When we recognise that Gods will for our lives is better than our own will.
The prodigal son desired his own will, not his father’s will. It was not his father’s will to give him his inheritance when he asked for it, but he granted his request. We can see that the father didn’t give the elder brother his inheritance because he didn’t ask for it. But he allowed the will of the prodigal son to be done!
We should not let God grant our will above His will for you. The will of God is already blessed. Like the father of the prodigal son, God, sometimes, allows us to have our way and our will! This is dangerous.
The Bible says about the Israelites that God gave them their request, but sent leanness into their soul (Psalm 106:15). Desire your Father’s will, not your own will. We should desire Gods will, not your own will .Gods will, not our own will. Thank you pastor for this devotional .

God wants us to know that he is our father and he loves and cares for us, he wants us to know in him we have our inheritance and that we are his children and know matter how far we are from home once we believe and repent he is always there waiting for us with an open arms. This have given me reassurance that my father the King of all Kings is always there for me. God bless you Pastor.

MY GOD, THIS IS DEEP!
PASTOR, RIGHT NOW, I FEEL LIKE I CAN PREACH.
THERE ARE TWO STORIES IN THE BIBLE THAT REALLY MOVES ME ALSO.
THE STORY OF NAOMI AND RUTH AND THE STORY OF MARY, MARTHA, LAZARUS AND JESUS.
IN THOSE TWO STORIES THE CONDITIONAL LOVE OF GOD THE AGAPE LOVE WAS DEMONSTRATED.
THIS IS THE REASON WHY WE MUST ALSO LOVE UNCONDITIONALLY JUST AS JESUS HAS DEMONSTRATED THE LOVE OF HIS FATHER IN HEAVEN TO US THAT WE BE RECONCILED WITH HIM.
WHAT MANNER OF LOVE IS THIS THAT GOD GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON THAT WHOMSOEVER BELIEVETH IN HIM SHALL NOT PERISH BUT HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE.

Wow powerful devotion sir. This tells me that when it comes to me and the love God have for me, I see that he’s so vulnerable. God wants to see me succeed, overcome that mountain, he wake to be happy and to live a victorious life.
Instead of condemning the prodigal son for squandering all his inheritancelike our earthlyparentswould havedone, Instead God ran towards him with love. Without even mentioning the matter. What a love the father have for us.

God love to us is inexplicable, He first love us before we love him , in Romans 5:8 – But God demonstrates his own love for us in this While we were still sinners Christ died for us – and the Bible said perfect love cast out fear . God is reassuring us of what His love can do in our life His love protect us ,preserve us ,His love give us confidence , reassuring us of our authority and dominion .
