Where is your faith?

Luke 8:25- “And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him.
”
Faith, as described by the scripture, is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. Heb 11:1. This means if we are to get anything, it is faith that gives substance to our hope, and also if we need evidence of things that are not seen by the naked eye, we need to have faith.

Jesus, in describing how important faith is, asked where their faith was when they came across a storm on the lake and their boat was getting filled with water. Though the bible recorded that they were in jeopardy, Jesus’ expectation was for them to tackle the issue with their faith.
There will be situations that seem to be beyond our control, but Jesus, through this teaching, is telling us that what we need at such a time is to believe and show our faith in him.

Faith is the confidence that God can do and will do what he has said in his word. A very good example of this is the story of the Centurion in Matt 8:8-13, where it was recorded that his servant was sick of palsy and Jesus said he would come with him to heal the servant.

The Centurion, however, said to Jesus No, there is no need to come, I know that your word is as powerful as your presence. Just speak the word. Jesus commended his faith and said he had not seen such faith in Israel before. No wonder the man’s servant got his healing.

If you are going to get that job, if your status will have to change if your situation will have to change if that dead child will come back to life if you who has been tagged single and lonely will be married, you need to show your faith. God can not but respond to faith. If you want God to respond to you, then show your faith.
